Bourne Deeping travelled away to somewhere other than Cambridge! Dragons started well with the wind in their sails...literally.
The safe hands of MOM Briault at the back passing the ball out with ease to the midfield shields of Ben, Neil and Isaac. Dragons started playing some good attacking hockey up the pitch, using the pace of Charlie, Kindy and Joseph to get the ball round the back of the Bury defence. Both sides throwing in some heavy challenges resulted in Ben "hulk smash" having a 2 minute rest.
Unfortunately Bury kept pushing back and after some fine saves from DOD Edwyn "thought the Sainsbury's bag was my glove" Sarsby Bury scored. Still pushing dragons didn't step back and kept playing attacking hockey but were caught on the counter and a good finish saw Bury 2 - 0 up at half time.
A short half time break stopped the frostbite setting in and Dragons came out fighting, pushing Bury back inside their own half with some good passing moved out the back from Roddy, Joe and Edward working tirelessly to keep Dragons up the pitch. But Bury broke away again and slotted in a third.
After some heavy lumberjack challenges dragons won another PC, Matthews finding Charlie to deflect the ball into the goal. Dragons were back in the game throwing players forward and really testing the home side. Ben unfortunately not to score after running on to the ball, rounding the defence and shooting on the reverse. Bury then went down to 10 but so did we with Roddy seeing yellow after knocking the ball away a cm. With a minute to go Bury scored a scrappy goal with Neil and Edwyn getting tangled in a Strictly Come Dancing defensive move. Dragons once again look to push on in a difficult league improving week on week.
