After 4 losses on the spin, the Dragons were looking to put in a performance this week to prove to themselves they can still compete at the right end of this division.
A characteristically bright start, moving the ball quickly but patiently, set the tone early on and it was a wonderful flowing move which found Stuart Biggs driving into the D to give his team the lead with a calm finish into the bottom corner.
There then followed the home side's obligatory 'weekly wobble'... Seemingly frustrated as chances went begging, the level dropped as the Dragons became embroiled in another "quicksand moment" - (Seriously, watch The Replacements - its a quality film!). However with the ever dominant Richie 'Mistress' Collins back at centre back to steady the ship, half time arrived with the 1-0 lead in tact.
A good talking to from the boss in the bobble hat set the Dragons out to make a statement, and four unanswered goals from Joseph Moisey, Ben Brittain, Alex Hutton and Ewan Howitt said "We are back!". Back to winning ways, and back to the level of performance of last season. Tougher tests to come no doubt as the Dragons look to claw their way up the table, but the future's bright, the futures a kind of pixilated white and purple and black which doesn't really go with anything.....
