BDHC @ Long Sutton

Dragons maintained their winning start to the season with a 4-3 win away to Long Sutton but they were made to work for it.
From the start Dragons looked sharp. The ball pace was high, short sharp passes creating chances which led to Super Ted Moisey opening the scoring after 5 minutes from close range. The Long Sutton bench called for a response, but it was the Dragons who stepped it up a gear. A goal disallowed was followed by a flick which Joseph Moisey rolled in for 2-0.
Finally a response from Sutton who pulled one back with a well struck short corner but the comeback was dealt a sucker punch when the usually outstanding Sutton 'keeper kicked over a bobbly ball in the D leaving Joe Allen with the easiest of tap ins for 3-1.
Not done yet Sutton hit back on the halftime whistle with another penalty corner to give them the momentum going into halftime.
Five goals in the first half was a definite sign to both teams to tighten up and as the game became more and more congested, real chances were at a premium. Sutton equalised with another messy goal and all looked set for an honourable draw but with just 5 to play, Stuart Biggs found himself in the D with the ball at his feet, and his cool finish made it 4-3 Dragons. A nervy final 5 minutes ensued with the back line tested, but debutant keeper Josh Kenny held the line as the Dragons took the win.... Just.
