And Alex's goal wasn't cr*p!!!!

A first half hat-trick from Robin Edlington was the platform of this impressive victory for the Dragons; opening the scoring with a penalty corner drag flick and then showing raw pace and cool finishing at a time when St Ives were threatening to get a foothold back in the game.
Edlington's opener was followed by a penalty flick won by Ben Brittain and converted by Joseph Moisey. A defensive howler from Brewer then let St Ives back into the game as some casual defending saw him lose possession in his own D, leaving the St Ives forward with an easy chance to round Portlock and score. 2-1.
St Ives had a couple of gilt edged chances to capitalise in the sudden shift in momentum, but blazed over from the top of the D, and had one picked off the line by Garner.
Alex Hutton re-established control for the home side, a brilliant solo effort for once crowned by a composed and accurate finish!
The 2 goal cushion restored and St Ives having no choice but to push forwards (sometimes literally), the Dragons young line once again showed their turn of pace to feed Edlington who scored goals 4 and 5 before half time, claiming his hat-trick in the process.
The second half saw Edlington show he was not about to rest on his laurels, his 4th another penalty corner to make it 6-1. Callum Howitt then went on a mazy run, rounding the 'keeper, and though the chance seemed to have gone, picked up the pieces from the breakdown to slam home from a tight angle for 7.
St Ives then scored an absolute belter which had the home crowd applauding appreciatively, but 7-2 was nowhere near enough for a comeback. Watkins made it 8 with a well worked routine called from the bench (ok not THAT routine but Ryan did call one!)
The less said about the final goal of the game the better. Luckily the go pro's battery had run out. Sufifce to say the Dragons defence did not cover themselves in glory, though credit must go to the persistence of the St Ives forwards, always ready to pounce on any defensive errors, of which there were a few! 8-3 the final score.
Motm - Who else? The Edlington Express (he's even started celebrating his goals by "woo-woo-ing" like a choo-choo train!!)
