BDHC Win Lincolnshire County Club Championships Plate competition

A final game against Alford saw Shane Carlton continue his phenomenal striking form from last season with a superb reverse stick strike into the roof of the net on just 3 minutes to give the Dragons a dream start. BDHC were now playing some of their best hockey, passing and moving with control and intent. Dan Needham tipped in a short corner strike to give the Dragons a 2-0 lead going into half time and a thunderbolt from the top of the D from Josh Oakley seemed to have wrapped up the game with 10 minutes to go. However, as Bourne Deeping slipped into coasting mode, Alford then sprung into life with an amazing 2 goals in as many minutes, but the Dragons managed to see out the last remaining nervy minutes, closing the game out 3-2 and winning the Lincolnshire County Championships Plate for 2013.
