Dragons started strong flustering St Neots, with midfield diamonds of Millie Durrands, Georgina Gray, and Jenny Collins, controlling and keeping early possession of the ball. St Neots saw a quick gap and break forcing tup high into the D managing to push past our strong defence of Isia Jasinska, Dawn McShane, Sue Oakley and keeper Lizzie Hoile to concede two goals in the first 20 minutes. After this things were looking up for the Dragons and promising as they applied pressure not only through the centre of the pitch but out wide to Daisy Hakim , we were awarded a short corner, Izzy Oakley stepped up to the top of the D and made an amazing attempt at goal, narrowly saved by a Neots goalie, but Millie Durrands picked up the rebound and shot at goal and scored Dragons first goal. Several more attempts were made either end of the pitch giving every players a run for their money, with more short corners from both teams.

Second half the Dragons started strong again, with some amazing runs down the left wing by Hakim. Dragons eventually got their much deserved second goal when a run by Oakley ending in her slipping the ball past the St Neots goalie. A couple more short corners were awarded to the Dragons, but the Dragons weren't able to convert. The Dragons positive attitudes and amazing partnership's in midfield, pushing the team high up the pitch, kept the possession, ensuring that the ball was working for them. A few strong hits through from Collins, Durrands and Oakley to Kirsty Martin up front, who tried to break through in the D with the keeper. After a strong performance by the Dragons, St Neots, had the break throughs they were after, hitting their strong shots past Holie which unfortunately finished the end score 7-2 to St Neots. A very positive and strong willed Dragons move onto the next week with their morals still kept high.
