The wind and occasional rain did not dampen enthusiasm as the two sides took to the match. The Bourne Deeping defence were put under pressure from the start as Long Suttons key player set up the attacks but they stayed strong thanks to Phipps and Gresty who were so dedicated putting their bodies on the line just behind there was the safe goal keeper pads of Lee Langley.

From there Hotchkin was able to help launch attacks of their own. Aaron Waters used his pace and energy while Edward Moisey and Charlie Butler created chances.

Making his debut Christian Rushworth was undaunted and showed the potential he possesses with assured control and intelligent running.
