Louth have always been a tough opposition when playing at home and after a long journey north the dragons 5th team were faced by a 2nd XI full of pace and movement. Unfortunately Bourne Deeping were masters of their own downfall and too often gifted possession back to Louth who were in no mood for anything other than adding to their tally. As Bourne Deeping struggled to keep Louth at bay every loose ball appeared to end on the end of a Louth stick and the pressure was relentless.
5-0 at half time flattered the home side and frustration was at a high. The second half was a much more even affair with BDHC forcing a number of chances and penalty corners without the reward they deserved and yet it was the home team that were clinical in their finishing.
With a match against the 4th team next week the 5ths will have to remain patient for points.
