Bourne Deeping mens 2nd's had faced march first team the previous week and so it seem a little like deja vu in part but this could have been a different result were it not for one outstanding member of the away squad. Bourne Deeping set up with a strong defence of Jackson, Foston, Taylor and Sarsby with Hotchkin, Bates and Evison a midfield triangle that had the better of the early exchanges.
Tommy Armitage stronger in attack now, allowed the ball to flow through the lines of the March defence and it was Eliot Bates who opened the scoring with a competent finish. Unfortunately March's attacking force pounced on some hesitant defending and equalised.
To add to the home teams woes they were unfortunate to concede a second at a penalty corner as Paul Jackson bravely defended the shot only to see it deflect into the net leaving Jack Langley once again no chance.
Disappointing for Bourne Deeping who deserved more for their efforts. Final score 2.1 loss
