Bourne Deeping 4th V Cambs South 4th

The rain got steadily heavier, the skills of returning players improved but perhaps the match fitness and teamplay needs work.
Jon Meadows, Ollie Vartan, Richard Arnold Eoin Briggs & Joe Allen all took to the field for the first time in 18 months and their touch took some time to return - unfortunately when it did, the legs were too tired to carry them.
Losing Jackson to a late injury was not ideal but Bourne Deeping had flickers of attacking promise and some reasonably positive spells, but couldnt link them together to create key chances.
Cambs south were a little more powerful and direct and created their chances. The score line of 3.0 was slightly flattering as to their dominance and more a reflection of their ability to finish their chances. 2 drag flick penalty corners at this level was unexpected and the slightest of deflections left Ed Sarsby no chance.
A late penalty flick save denied Ollie Vartan his goal after being bundled and barged on his way to earning the chance.
There are goals in this line up if they can get the players out regularly.
