Bourne Deeping Men’s 4th team welcomed March 2nds for the return leg of this fixture, having gone down to them at March, then a leading light of the league. After absorbing a strong opening spell from the visitors, where a lead was established after converting a drag flick from a penalty corner, Bourne Deeping got a foothold in the match. Chorlton leading the line up front, ably supported by Waters and Gatward-Clarke, excerpted waves of pressure, ultimately rewarded with several short corners. None the less Bourne Deeping move on to promotion chasing Peterborough next week.
