Bourne Deeping 4’s fell foul of a clinical Peterborough team at the weekend who converted nearly every chance they created. Bourne Deeping conjured up a number of short corners and created several changes from open play, most notably in the first half, but just could not convert them into goals. Jon Oakley did eventually score for the home team towards the end of the game, but was mere consolation.
A 3-0 half time score line was always going to be tough to retrieve against a youthful and skilled Peterborough outfit and so, under the floodlights, it proved to be. A tough result to take given the general competitiveness of the game but Bourne Deeping move onto next week and look forward to a trip to Ely.
