BDHC 4’s 3-0 Cambs City 6’s
Bourne Deeping fourths finally got an entry in the win column this season with a deserved win over Cambridge City sixth team. Having failed to capitalise from opportunities in other games, there was no such mistake last Saturday with goals from Goode, Vartan and Oakley bringing the team 3 points.
For the bulk of the game Bourne Deeping were on top and good for their lead, but it did take some excellent goal keeping from Lee Langley to ensure a clean sheet especially during a spree of short corners in the second half. That period aside Bourne Deeping played some good hockey, passing the ball well around the pitch engineered by Oakley, Chorlton and Armitage in the middle. Hard work throughout the team built the foundation for this result, which will look to be carried forward to the inter club fixture against Bourne Deeping fifths next weekend.
